Friday saw the arrival of Graeme and Dianne, last of our group to get here. So we’re all here now. We have organised a personalised trip to the WALL on sunday along the route we will take out of Peking. We will see some other sights too so will report on those when it happens.
Went for a walk through old markets just south of Tienemin square, sadly they are tearing down all the old areas in preparation for the games next year and sending anyone who wasn’t born in Beijing back to their home towns to make room for the influx during the games. The market streets will be gone in two weeks. We wandered through some Hutongs (local communities) and back for a very nice curry house evening meal.
