City very busy for the weekend and the markets, streets and transport very crowded. Went to the “Pavilion”, a very Colonial English (prices included) establishment to watch the AB’s dispose of France. Friday saw the arrival of Graeme and Dianne, last of our group to get here. So we’re all here now. We have organised a personalised trip to the WALL on sunday along the route we will take out of Peking. We will see some other sights too so will report on those when it happens. [...]

Was supposed to be a sleep in but some dont know how to do that. We spent a couple of hours getting local money supplies and then a short trip to the peoples store. An hour of that was enough, a short walk and market heaven. All the usual consumer products at super prices. Best [...]

we left Christchurch very early. We transferred at Auckland and arrived in Hong Kong where we spent 2 nights. Shopping was the only agenda.
